Valor Villages Receives $200,000 Boost Toward Launch of Sanctuary for Children in Crisis
A major gift moves the children’s sanctuary from plan to funded project.
A $200,000 gift moved Valor Villages’ planned sanctuary for children in crisis from proposal to funded project.
The gift
The contribution went toward the launch of a sanctuary for children in crisis, preceding the Building Bright Futures capital campaign announced the following month.
Context
Valor Villages serves St. Louis neighbors experiencing homelessness or otherwise underserved, across housing, medical care, mental health and addiction care, food, job training and personal growth. The children’s initiative sits alongside the veterans work rather than replacing it — Valor #1 Housing had opened two months earlier.
Giving to the children’s initiative
Gifts for the children’s sanctuary should be made directly to Valor Villages Inc. (EIN 93-2266407) at valorvillages.org.
