The medical arm of Valor Villages — a clinical program built for people whom ordinary healthcare keeps missing.
A clinical program, not a clinic chain
Valor Medica is the medical arm of Valor Villages, the St. Louis nonprofit that houses veterans and children with nowhere else to go. Valor Villages provides the roof, the case management and the path forward. We provide the medicine that keeps all of it standing.
We are a nonprofit division of Sevadar Foundation Inc., a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Valor Medica is the name that division operates under. Valor Villages Inc. is a separate 501(c)(3) with its own board and its own finances; the two organizations work together under a program partnership, and neither controls the other.
What makes this different
Most healthcare is built on an assumption that the patient has a stable place to return to, transport to get back, a phone that stays on, and documents proving who they are. Take away any one of those and the system quietly stops working — not because anyone refused care, but because every step assumed something that was not true.
We build backwards from that. Care is coordinated with housing. Appointments account for transport. Documentation help is part of the clinical plan, not a separate errand. And when someone cannot come to us, some of what we do goes to them.
Who we serve
Veterans first — that is the origin of this work and remains its center. But Valor Villages serves unhoused and underserved neighbors regardless of service history, and our clinical support follows the same principle. If you are in the St. Louis region and your health is failing because of your circumstances, you are the person this was built for.

Where Valor Medica sits
Valor Medica is a programme of Sevadar Foundation Inc., a 501(c)(3) public charity. Sevadar means one who serves. The foundation operates three programmes: Valor Medica, providing medical care to veterans and neighbours experiencing homelessness; CareGuard, a federally listed Patient Safety Organization; and IntellaRx, which works on opioid safety.
Why a separate medical arm
Because housing without healthcare does not hold. People move inside carrying untreated diabetes, unmanaged hypertension, chronic pain that has been dismissed for years, and medication lists nobody has reviewed. Referring those out means care that is offered and rarely reached. Providing it directly means it happens.
What we are careful not to claim
We are not an emergency service, not a hospital, and not a replacement for the VA. Street outreach is interceptive aid rather than a mobile clinic, and we do not describe it as one. Being accurate about the limits is part of being useful within them.
